Suitable for various settings, including residential properties, offices, studios, restaurants, bars, and even home cinemas, the F-MUTE SYSTEM™ provides highly effective and reliable sound insulation.

Traditional flooring systems give poor acoustic performance for both airborne and impact sound reduction. Timber and chipboard flooring materials are of low density and can create reverberant noise. Their permanent and rigid attachment to floor joists results in any noise transferring to the room below.

F - MUTE SYSTEM™ provides highly effective Soundproofing for floors which is suitable for both impact and airborne noise. Its sound insulation properties are achieved through the combination of dense board and elastic absorptive layers.

The price shown below is per panel with dimensions of 1200x1000x23mm and covers 1.2 m2 area of the floor.

It is recommended to finish the installation with 12.5 or 15 mm gypsum board layer.

Performance

We have meticulously tested and certified the F-MUTE SYSTEM™ for its acoustic performance. The weighted airborne sound reduction index (Rw) meets the highest standards set out in EN ISO 10140-2:2010. The sound reduction index (Rw) charts are provided below.

Accessories

To enhance soundproofing performance even further, we offer a range of accessories designed to maximize the effectiveness of the F-MUTE SYSTEM™ and cater to specific soundproofing requirements:

DCvisco™ – Sound and Vibro insulating membrane, which adds +3 dB to the system. It is used for sound dampening between F-MUTE panel and finishing gypsum board layer. The membrane has 1.8mm thickness.
DClant™ – Sound and Vibro insulating sealant, which adds +3 dB to the system. Fill panel joint gaps. One cartridge of 310 ml. Is sufficient for 3 F-MUTE panels.
DCstrip™ – Sound and Vibro isolating self-adhesive tape which adds +2 dB to the system. It is used on the perimeter of the floor, in order for the existing walls not to have a direct connection with the F-MUTE panels. 1 roll is sufficient for approximately 10m2 of the floor.
DCscrew 30 - Screw for connection of gypsum board (finishing layer) and F-MUTE panel. Dimensions 3.9 x 30 mm. There are 100 screws in a pack, which is sufficient for approximately 10m2 area.

Installation

F-MUTE system is installed over existing floors of reinforced concrete and metal structures on a flat surface and over existing flooring/tiles, and old parquet. Ceramic tiles, natural and laminated parquet, carpet, carpet and other flooring can be placed above it.

Before installing the F-MUTE system, make sure that the floor surface is smooth, without humps and unevenness of more than 5 mm. Otherwise, it is necessary to perform a levelling screed.

Step 1: Adhere the DCstrip tape to the walls along the perimeter of the floor where the panels will be installed. The edging tape must also cover the finishing layer of the gypsum board for flooring.

Step 2: Start the installation of the first panel from the part of the floor in front of the door in the room, in order to avoid a joint between two panels at the entrance of the room.

Step 3: Fill panel joint gaps with DClant sealant.

Step 4: Continue installing the panels until the entire area of the room is covered.

Step 5: To complete the system, install a 12.5-15mm thick plasterboard floorboard directly onto the panels, fixing it with DCscrew 30mm screws.

Fire Resistance

Our system carries a fire resistance classification of B, s1 - d0, complying with EN ISO 13501-1:2018, ensuring safety and peace of mind.

Packaging & Shipping

F-MUTE system panels are packed on pallets and enclosed with styrofoam walls for safe transportation. The DClox elements and all the additional accessories are packed on top of the pallets.
